Poor working and social conditions are being propped up by the mass provision of CBT ‹ Politics and Insights ‹ Reader — WordPress.com

An Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is a way of supporting employees during sickness. Companies buy into these programmes in the hope of getting some economic benefit when their workers return to work, from sickness, quicker than they normally would do. That’s very simplified.

This article suggests there may be other more sinister motives behind EAP, and the use of CBT.

I am aware of academies using paid for EAP. You may be better advised to make use of the Education Support Partnership, and stay well away from your school’s EAP provider.

Education Support Partnership, recommended by your Trade Union not your employer.
