Academy schools breach transparency rules – BBC News

It seems to be relatively easy to get away with “flouting the rules on transparency”. We rely on the BBC and journalists to expose what is going on in our schools. Fine. But what are the DfE doing?

I think if I were part of the OfGov inspection team, I’d be inclined to declare that the DfE Academy “requires improvement”.

Hardly surprising after the previous two heads left a failing organisation behind, and the new head has yet to make an impact.

Imagine the outcry if 19 out 100 teachers had failed to polish their shoes on Monday morning.

Nineteen academy schools are to be investigated for “flouting” rules on transparency following a BBC investigation.
