NASUWT reject non-consolidated lump sums

In its obsessive pursuit of increased pay flexibilities for schools, which are already seriously depressing teachers’ salaries, the Government has proposed to the School Teachers’ Review Body the introduction of payment for teachers through a non-consolidated lump sum or fixed-period payments.

The NASUWT has argued that these are open to abuse and are not an effective basis for a fair and effective system of rewards for teachers.
